MAJOR UPDATE!!!

It is with a heavy heart that I’ve decided to unpublish this demo after a week. I didn’t plan things properly, and after finishing my thesis and capstone, I ended up forgetting the core essence of the story.

This was my first major project after participating in multiple game jams, and working on something long-term without any feedback just didn’t work out for me.

Before transitioning into game development, I used to write yandere stories on my Wattpad account. I’ve been pushing myself to create something more lighthearted and innocent—but that kind of writing doesn’t really suit me, and it may have been what led to my major burnout.

GOOD NEWS?

I have a new project, and through this experience, I’ve learned what works best for me. I’ll be releasing monthly updates for my new game, so it’ll feel like working on a game jam all over again, something I truly thrive in. I’ve realized that I work best with an Agile development cycle.

The new game is titled I SERVE SOUP, NOT ROMANCE.

WHAT IS THE GAME ABOUT?

I SERVE SOUP, NOT ROMANCE is a story about a soup-obsessed server whose peaceful life takes a bizarre turn when she meets a party of heroes on a rainy day—right after they steal her underwear.

Forced into living under the same roof, she quickly realizes there’s more to these so-called heroes than they let on.

After all, why would powerful warriors choose to sleep on the floor of a countryside inn when they could be living in a mansion in the capital?
